Watchlist
The watchlist is the part of Stream Markets that watches the market for you. Follow the companies and projects you care about, and their news, filings and catalysts come to you instead of you going looking. This page covers following, saving, and the controls on each row.
Follow your first company
Say you want to follow BHP. Open its page - search its name or ticker - and click the star in the header. That is the whole job: the company is now on your watchlist, and its next announcement lands in your inbox - the bell in the header - and links straight to the story.
You can also add names without leaving the watchlist. The Add to watchlist bar at the top says exactly what it does: type a company or project, then press Enter to follow the top match.
- Star - on any company or project page, and on rows across the database. Click to follow, click again to unfollow.
- Add bar - type a name on the watchlist page and press Enter. The top match is followed.
- Search your list - the box above the tables filters by name or ticker. Press / to jump to it.
- Sort - Recently added, Name A-Z, or Commodity.
The watchlist page
Everything you follow and save lives on one page, and this page is where you manage it. Your followed companies and projects sit as tables, with the same commodity, stage and valuation columns as the rest of the app, then monitored catalysts, saved deals and saved articles. The updates themselves arrive in your inbox, not here.

- Tabs - All, Companies, Projects, Catalysts, Deals, Articles, each with a count. All shows every section at once.
- Inbox - the bell opens your updates, newest first. With StreamBot enabled, Inbox is a tab in its workspace. Each alert opens the linked record.
- New pill - a row with an unread alert shows a small New pill on the company page, the deals tab and the news feed. Open it and the pill clears.
- Followed tables - each row links to its company or project page; the bin icon on the right unfollows, with a confirm click so nothing goes by accident.
- Alerts, newsletters & delivery (top right) - the settings page for how everything is sent. This page owns what you track; that one owns how it reaches you.
Where it shows up
You do not have to visit the watchlist page to use the watchlist. The dashboard keeps a Your watchlist panel on the right, with its own add box, and the sidebar shows a running count next to Watchlist so you always know how many names you are tracking.

- Watchlist page - the full view: updates, tables, delivery controls.
- Dashboard panel - your followed names at a glance, each one a link, with Open to jump to the full page.
- Sidebar - the Watchlist entry carries a live count of everything you track.
Saving deals, articles and catalysts
Following is for companies and projects - things that keep producing news. Deals and articles are different: you save them once, for reference, with the bookmark icon on any deal or story. They land in their own tabs on the watchlist page and count against your saved allowance, not your followed one.
Catalysts have their own verb: monitor. The walkie-talkie icon on any catalyst adds it to the Catalysts tab, and you are notified when it changes or resolves. More on catalysts in the companies and projects guide.
Delivery, row by row
Each followed row ends with a Delivery column - small icons that control how that one name’s updates reach you, right where you see them. No settings page required for the common case.
- Bell - in-app alerts. Always on while you follow something; that is what following means.
- Envelope - adds that name to your email digest. If email delivery is not switched on yet, clicking it tells you so instead of silently failing.
- Phone - stores an SMS preference. SMS does not send yet - the control says so - and turning a stored preference off always works.
The same control appears everywhere a followed name does - the sidebar, the dashboard panel, company and project headers - and they all edit the same setting. The global side (digest timing, newsletters, defaults) lives on the alerts page, covered in the alerts guide.
Limits per plan
Free accounts follow up to 10 companies or projects and save up to 10 deals and articles. Pro and Pro+ raise that to 100 followed and 50 saved. The counts under the page title show where you stand, and alerts work the same on every plan.
New here? The getting started guide tours the whole app, and the alerts guide covers digests, newsletters and delivery in full.
Quick steps
- Sign in and select Watch or the star on a company or project, or search in Add to watchlist.
- Open Watchlist or StreamBot’s Watching tab to manage the same followed names.
- Read updates in Inbox; unfollow to stop following that name.
Following, saving and monitoring
- Following a company or project enables in-app updates. Follow limits depend on your plan and the app shows when the limit is reached.
- Deals and articles can be saved as bookmarks. A bookmark does not subscribe you to updates. Catalyst monitors and saved research screens have their own controls.
- Watching and the Watchlist page share your list. StreamBot proposes personal changes and waits for your confirmation click; check its receipt for what succeeded.
Missing follows or a full watchlist
- Check that you signed in to the same account, then clear the Watchlist search and type filters. Saved deals and news are separate from followed companies and projects.
- At the plan limit, remove a name you no longer need or review plan options. Repeated clicks do not increase the limit.
- A follow that rolls back or shows an error was not confirmed. Retry after checking your connection and session; keep the name and error message if you need support.
