Akyem is a producing Ghana gold mine reported at full-project basis in Zijin's major-mine statements; the listed parent holds 85%. Its expansion will increase processing capacity from 8.5 million tonnes per annum to 13.0 million tonnes per annum through expansion of the mining and processing system and tailings-storage capacity. The feasibility study and project approval are complete, construction survey is underway and target completion is the third quarter of 2028.
