The Donaldson complex includes former non-operational mining areas and the Abel underground mine, which entered care and maintenance in 2016. Yancoal agreed during 2025 to transfer selected land, leases and ancillary assets to The Bloomfield Group in exchange for assumption of associated rehabilitation obligations.
