The mining joint venture covers Small-Scale Mining Licence 34544-HQ-SML and is operated by licence holder Oval Mining. Xtract owns 35%; initial mixed oxide-sulphide ore was processed through the flotation plant in July 2026, but commissioning, reagent optimisation and production ramp-up remain underway and commercial production has not been declared.
