Platreef is a mechanized underground polymetallic mine being developed in phases by Ivanplats. The mine uses long-hole stoping and drift-and-fill with cemented backfill, while conventional milling and flotation produce a combined PGM, nickel, copper and gold concentrate. Phase 1 produced first concentrate on November 18, 2025, but remained in commissioning at the end of Q2 2026. Mineral-resource and reserve PGE figures in this payload use the disclosed 3PE+Au basket of platinum, palladium, rhodium and gold. Wheaton holds staged gold, platinum and palladium streams rather than an equity interest in the mine.
