Navidad is a 100%-owned, large undeveloped silver district comprising eight deposits across the Navidad, Esperanza and Argenta structural trends in Chubut Province. A 2011 preliminary economic assessment outlined open-pit mining and conventional flotation, but the project is now maintained on care and maintenance because provincial Law 5001 prohibits open-pit mining. Pan American continues the work required to preserve its property rights. Wheaton holds a debenture convertible into a life-of-mine stream for 12.5% of silver production from the high-grade Loma de La Plata zone.
