Hemlo is a long-life gold operation in the Hemlo greenstone belt of northwestern Ontario. Hemlo Mining Corp. owns the mine and currently produces from the Williams underground complex using longhole and Alimak stoping, while the December 2024 PFS also schedules a restart of open-pit mining and subsequent stockpile processing. The site includes a 10,000-tonne-per-day CIP mill and extensive shaft, ramp, hoisting and tailings infrastructure. Wheaton paid US$300 million for a gold stream effective October 31, 2025: 10.13% of payable gold is delivered until 135,750 ounces have been delivered, then 6.75% until a further 117,998 ounces, and 4.5% thereafter, with ongoing payments equal to 20% of spot gold. Interlake production is reduced by half when calculating stream deliveries and is also subject to a 50% net profit interest held by Franco-Nevada. The current reserve supports a 14-year PFS mine plan, while a larger mineral resource estimate effective December 31, 2025 will be incorporated into a comprehensive reserve, mine-plan and technical-report update targeted for the second half of 2027.
