Hemerdon is a 100%-owned, fully permitted open-pit tungsten-tin mine and processing complex northeast of Plymouth. The 2025 feasibility study defines an 11-year open-pit schedule followed by treatment of lower-grade killas stockpiles, using ore sorting, gravity concentration, flotation, roasting and magnetic separation. Prior owner Wolf Minerals ceased operations in 2018; its historical output is not attributed to Tungsten West. The fines gravity circuit has commenced operation and produced tungsten and tin concentrate as part of the phased restart. Initial production and commissioning are under way, with full commissioning targeted for the end of Q1 2027. Planning permission extends to 2036 and the mineral lease to 2044. The Group agreed with Hargreaves Services plc to terminate the mining service contract. It paid £3 million in April 2026, after which Hargreaves released security over the mineral lease; a further £7 million is payable by 15 May 2027. The £1 million prepaid royalty was paid as a condition of restarting mining operations. A £1 million restoration escrow top-up remains committed, payable within 30 days of financial close of the debt facility. The obligation to restore the mine when mining ceases continues.
