Buckreef is an operating open-pit gold mine and 2,000-tpd conventional processing plant in northwestern Tanzania. TRX Gold holds 55% through TRX Gold Tanzania Limited and manages and funds the joint venture with state-owned STAMICO; current plans add a 3,500-tpd SAG/ball-mill circuit and contemplate eventual underground mining.
