New Prosperity is a large undeveloped open-pit porphyry copper-gold project in south-central British Columbia. Its November 2, 2009 NI 43-101 estimate remains the disclosed estimate and is reported on a 100% property basis, but the company cautions that it has not been updated for current costs, technologies or metal prices. The 2009 plan contemplated a 70,000-tonne-per-day flotation concentrator, average annual production of 110 million pounds of copper and 234,000 ounces of gold, and a 33-year mine life. Trekor holds 77.5% of 1280860 BC Ltd., while 22.5% is held in trust for the future benefit of the Tŝilhqot’in Nation. Development is subject to land-use planning, Tŝilhqot’in Nation free, prior and informed consent, and new regulatory approvals; Trekor has agreed not to serve as the proponent or own a future mine development.
