Paducah Laser Enrichment Facility

FeasibilityUranium
Price-|MCap-

A planned laser uranium re-enrichment facility using DOE depleted uranium tails to produce natural UF6, with potential further enrichment to LEU, LEU+ and HALEU. Silex's preliminary modelling indicates potential output of up to 5 million pounds annually on an equivalent U3O8 basis, supplied as UF6, for up to 30 years; conversion capacity of up to 2 million kgU annually; and potential initial LEU capacity of 2 million SWU annually. Silex estimates all-in cost below US$30/lb. Illustrative annual revenue potential uses the presentation's long-term prices: up to approximately US$450 million from uranium at approximately US$90/lb, US$110 million from conversion at approximately US$55/kgU, and US$360 million from initial LEU enrichment at approximately US$180/SWU. These preliminary estimates depend on technology maturation, market conditions and pricing, licensing, industry and government support, and PLEF feasibility assessment; actual output may differ. GLE completed TRL-6 in October 2025 and is advancing TRL-7 activities, licensing and preparations for potential feasibility assessment activities.
