Cooke is a 76%-attributable surface retreatment operation near Randfontein. The active Randfontein surface operation hydraulically reclaims historic tailings for treatment at the Cooke gold plant, while the Ezulwini plant provides toll treatment for internal and third-party material. Cooke's underground shafts have remained on care and maintenance since 2017. A feasibility study completed in 2025 established a separate Cooke TSF development case based on reclaiming 600kt per month and producing average annual output of approximately 2.3Mlb U3O8 and 23.8koz gold over 14 years; detailed NPV, IRR and capital figures were not publicly disclosed in the sources reviewed.
