Burnstone is a board-approved gold project near Balfour in Mpumalanga that will mine the Kimberley Reef at an average depth of approximately 550 metres and a maximum planned depth of approximately 1,050 metres. Project setup has commenced under an initial R98 million 2026 budget; the development plan provides for pre-production capital during 2027 and 2028 and processing-plant operation in 2029.
