Powers Gully is a remnant gold-tailings deposit on Cassilis exploration licence EL 5504 within the Omeo Gold Project. The formal Inferred JORC 2012 estimate is 66,565 tonnes at an uncut 5.29 g/t Au for 11,337 ounces; the separately displayed grade with an 8 g/t Au top cut is 4.12 g/t. The nearest-neighbour model uses historical C-series auger data and an assumed dry bulk density of 1.5 t/m³. Historical QAQC information is limited, and control failures in later PW-series validation drilling require further twinning and verification before a confidence upgrade; those later holes are not incorporated in the current estimate. Reporting above 0 g/t Au reflects contemplated bulk excavation, not economic viability of individual near-zero-grade blocks. Cyanide leaching after caustic soda pre-treatment returned 98% recovery and 0.16 g/t Au final tails from one upper-tailings sample; historical recoveries varied from approximately 54–56% to about 90%, and 98% is not assumed representative of the whole resource. The economic-extraction assessment is preliminary, with no detailed operating or capital cost estimates or economic model. Further auger drilling, density measurements and bulk metallurgical testing are planned.
