Northumberland comprises exploration licences 58173 and 58174, covering 72 claims and approximately 1,166 hectares along the northern margin of the Cumberland Basin between Northport and Pugwash. Primary Hydrogen acquired the ground by map staking; no natural-hydrogen occurrence or drilling has been documented on the project.
