Mt York is Pilbara Gold's wholly owned flagship development project, about 100 kilometres south of Port Hedland. The current JORC 2012 resource is 61.7 million tonnes at 1.05 g/t gold for 2.082 million ounces, constrained within an A$5,500-per-ounce optimized pit shell. The mineralised BIF remains open at depth, and Pilbara Gold also controls non-lithium and non-tantalum mineral rights over 367 square kilometres of adjoining Pilbara Minerals tenure. A December 2024 scoping study outlined conventional open-pit mining and a four-million-tonne-per-year CIL plant. The company is now completing more than 50,000 metres of extensional and infill drilling, targeting a late-2026 resource update and a pre-feasibility study in Q2 2027. Mining lease M45/1306 was granted in February 2026, while further environmental, mine-planning and closure approvals remain necessary.
