Finsch is an underground kimberlite mine using sub-level cave infrastructure in the Northern Cape. Petra placed the mine into business rescue on 29 May 2026 after weak small-diamond prices and a stronger rand impaired its economics. Production was suspended in June and appointed practitioners now control the mine while preparing a creditor plan.
