The Northern Mining Administration cluster comprises the Daugyztau single open pit and the multi-pit Vostochny operation on the Kokpatas deposit, with refractory sulphide ore processed at HMP-3 through flotation, bio-oxidation and leaching. NMMC commissioned new electric excavators at both pits in July 2026 as part of Phase III expansion.
