Capanda is a preliminary green-ammonia and nitrate-production concept using hydropower near the Capanda dam. A 2023 Class 5 technical study assessed a conventional large plant, while a 2025 binding heads of agreement with Talus Renewables shifted the development concept toward modular green-ammonia units and a potential incorporated joint venture after a successful export bid.
