Sela Creek covers approximately 215 square kilometres of the Marowijne Greenstone Belt and contains a long history of third-party artisanal alluvial and saprolite mining from which Miata receives no revenue. Miata has a vested 70% interest and an option to reach 100% through remaining staged cash and share payments; its renewed five-year exploitation licence covering 100 square kilometres permits continued sampling, trenching and drilling.
