Black Schist covers approximately 706 square kilometres and contains the Rautavaara R1 and Paltamo P5 Inferred resources. The 2025 PEA identified R1 as the current economic driver in an open-pit, bio-heap-leach scenario producing about 4,500 tonnes of nickel annually. Metals One has applied for EU Strategic Project designation to support progression toward PFS.
