Sierra Azul, formerly CESAR, covers more than 180 square kilometres of concessions and applications along approximately 120 kilometres of the Cesar Basin in northeastern Colombia. MAX currently owns the project and operates the initial Freeport-funded stage; Freeport can earn 51% and then increase to 80% by meeting staged exploration and cash-payment commitments.
