Mt Weld is Lynas' wholly owned open-pit rare-earth mine and concentration operation, located about 35 kilometres south of Laverton in Western Australia. The carbonatite-hosted deposit contains light and heavy rare earths, with monazite dominant in the central dolomite domain and additional parisite, synchysite, bastnasite, churchite and yttropyrochlore mineralisation. The expanded mine and flotation plant are operating, with the fine-grinding IsaMill planned to enter service in the first quarter of FY2027. The 30 June 2025 reserve reconciliation supports more than 20 years of mine life at expanded production rates, but no current structured NPV, IRR or capex study is disclosed.
