Lithium Americas manages the joint venture and holds 62%, while General Motors holds 38%. Phase 1 major construction is under way for nominal production of 40,000 tonnes per year of battery-grade lithium carbonate; detailed engineering exceeded 95% and procurement exceeded 70% at March 31, 2026.
