The proposed first train would produce 50 ktpa of primary magnesium metal and alloys from ferronickel slag, with site capacity for a second 50 ktpa train. Feedstock is covered by LMG's binding 20-year MOU with Societe Le Nickel, and Bechtel is the nominated engineering partner of choice. LMG has received non-binding customer letters of intent covering 32 ktpa and is negotiating for a preferred industrial site, port access, rail links, utilities and project-level funding.
