Stage 3 is a proposed 100,000-tpa magnesium-metal plant near Samalaju in Sarawak using ferronickel slag. Latrobe's wholly owned Malaysian subsidiary has completed PFS-A, obtained approval for a land application and received a conditional allocation of 250 MW of hydropower. The April 2026 presentation reports a management/PFS-A case with approximately A$1.1 billion capital, A$1.16 billion annual revenue, A$495 million annual EBITDA and A$3.0 billion NPV. Further feedstock and development studies, environmental work, power arrangements and financing remain required.
