Tulu Kapi Gold Project

Tulu Kapi is a fully permitted gold development in western Ethiopia designed as an initial conventional open pit and CIL operation. Project development was immediately suspended following the fatal security incident on 4 September 2026. Resumption requires appropriate measures to provide a safe and secure operating environment for personnel and surrounding communities; further drawdown or deployment of project financing is deferred until circumstances have been fully assessed and appropriate measures are in place. As of 7 September 2026, it was too early to assess the impact on the development timetable. An August 2026 standalone PEA adds a preliminary staged underground plan using the existing plant. Before the suspension, that plan called for underground engineering to commence immediately, decline development alongside open-pit commissioning in mid-2028, and an updated underground Resource in 2029. The 2.38 Mt at 3.30 g/t underground mining inventory is preliminary, is not an Ore Reserve and includes Inferred material. KEFI expects to retain an approximately 86% beneficial interest through Tulu Kapi Gold Mines Share Company.
