Whale Head Minerals operates the permitted Walviskop beach-sands project. DMRE has approved the adjacent 2A Mining Right for an initial 10-year term; formal execution and registration are required before 2A operations can commence. Under the July 2026 SAI agreement the partner funds all covered capital and operating costs for 80% of HMS products while WHM retains its permits and a cost-free 20% physical production entitlement; the earlier 12-month REMI processing arrangement continues alongside it at Walviskop. Commercial production at 2A is targeted for Q1 2027, with production ramping up to an anticipated minimum of 10,000 tonnes per month of concentrate by Q2 2027. Kazera and its partners intend phased development of 2A into a long-life industrial HMS operation, with potential for substantially greater mining and processing capacity over time.
