Tshipi is a large open-pit manganese mine in South Africa's Kalahari Manganese Field. It commenced mining in 2011, produced first ore in 2012 and reached steady-state production in 2014; Jupiter holds a 49.9% joint-venture interest and markets its pro-rata share of output.
