Belfast Magnet Recycling Facility

Price-|MCap-

The planned brownfield Queen's Island facility would process 1,200 tonnes of magnet and swarf feed each year into approximately 400 tonnes of separated magnet rare-earth oxides. A November 2024 feasibility study defined two modular 200 tpa product trains and a 20-year operating life. Tenova began FEED in June 2026. Public consultation closed without objections, pre-application discussions were continuing with Belfast City Council and IonicRE targeted a full planning application and final investment decision in the September 2026 quarter. The GBP 12 million UK grant remains conditional.
