The battery vertical combines black-mass pretreatment with Iondrive's solvometallurgical DES process. A completed PFS modelled a 21,000 tonne-per-year raw black-mass plant in Germany with production of battery-grade recovered materials over a 20-year operating period. Current development centres on a skid-mounted Australian pilot redesigned for multiple feedstocks and flowsheet configurations. Wet commissioning is targeted for Q4 2026 to validate continuous operation, solvent reuse, reagent recovery and product quality. Battery recycling remains a longer-term commercial pathway behind the rare-earth module.
