North Pit Underground is a wholly owned expansion designed to transition Savage River from its open pit into block-cave and sub-level-cave mining while using the existing concentrator, slurry pipeline and Port Latta pellet plant. The DFS is complete and operational approvals are granted, but Grange is optimising the plan after its major shareholder declined to support funding at this stage.
