Southern Cross East lies about 75 kilometres north-northeast of Southern Cross and contains four granted exploration licences. A limited 17-hole air-core line completed in April 2025 and a detailed September 2025 aeromagnetic survey define buried magnetic features not substantiated by the initial drilling and coincident with a low-level coherent soil-gold anomaly.
