Gruyere was Gold Road's producing 50:50 joint venture with Gruyere Mining Company Pty Limited, a Gold Fields subsidiary, and Gold Fields operated the mine. Open-pit ore was treated through the Gruyere process plant while the partners evaluated underground extensions.
