Phulbari is a planned large open-pit coal mine near Phulbari in north-west Bangladesh. The issuer reports a 572-million-tonne JORC 2004 resource, more than 15 million tonnes per year of planned saleable output and a mine life exceeding 35 years. The feasibility study, environmental and social assessment and Scheme of Development were completed and submitted in 2005, but the central government development approval remains outstanding.
