GCM Resources plc is an AIM-listed developer of the Phulbari Coal and Power Project in north-west Bangladesh. Phulbari has a 572-million-tonne JORC 2004 coal resource and a feasibility-stage open-pit plan targeting more than 15 million tonnes of saleable coal annually for over 35 years. Development remains subject to Bangladesh government approval, while PowerChina is working with GCM under an extended development MOU and a conditional mine-infrastructure EPC contract.
