Nimba West is the approximately 198-square-kilometre, wholly owned western permit of Equatorial's Nimba Alliance tenure in Guinea. It lies within 30 kilometres of Liberia's Lamco railway and approximately 350 kilometres from Port Buchanan. The renewal application remains unresolved; Guinea government media identified the permit as cancelled, but Equatorial reports that it has received no direct formal notice and continues seeking clarification.
