The Southern Gold Line development project comprises Ukkolanvaara, Muurinsuo, Korvilansuo and Kuittila about fifteen kilometres south of Pampalo. Gold occurs in banded-iron-formation settings; tungsten and molybdenum are also being evaluated. Environmental assessment and zoning are in progress ahead of a potential mine and processing expansion around 2029-2030.
