Friday combines the formerly operating underground gold mine with the permitted 135-ton-per-day Orogrande gravity-flotation processing plant approximately 35 kilometres away. Mining began in May 2020 and the operation entered care and maintenance in February 2022 after COVID-era operating disruptions; Elk Range is now drilling from surface to validate the historical system and support a future JORC Mineral Resource.
