De Grey held an exclusive option to acquire Kalamazoo Resources' 217-square-kilometre Ashburton Gold Project. The option had been extended to 4 August 2025 for metallurgical, resource-model and optimisation work, but De Grey had not exercised it before Northern Star acquired the company.
