Yerrida comprises two contiguous special prospecting authority applications covering approximately 18,100 square kilometres northwest of Wiluna. Core studies identified thick organic-rich source rocks and reconnaissance recorded sustained methane at an open historic drill collar; the origin, maturity and possible accumulations remain untested.
