Canaf owns 70% of Southern Coal through wholly owned Quantum Screening and Crushing. The long-running Ballengeich facility near Newcastle produces calcined anthracite for South African sinter plants and operates an autogenous rotary kiln, an electric calciner, four double-deck screens, crushing equipment and an on-site quality-control laboratory.
