The US concept contemplated repurposing an 850,000-square-foot former glass plant under a 12-year lease proposal to produce the equivalent of 4 GW of patterned solar glass each year. Front-end engineering indicated approximately US$350 million of capital cost, and the project received a US$75 million transferable Section 48C tax-credit allocation. CPS paused the project in December 2025 because solar-policy and trade uncertainty hindered contracting and financing. The site state, strategic partner and customer identities were not disclosed, no definitive project joint venture was signed, and the latest interim MD&A does not describe reactivation.
