The Great Burnt property in south-central Newfoundland contains the Great Burnt copper deposit, South Pond copper-gold deposit and a series of gold, copper and polymetallic exploration zones along roughly 25 kilometres of prospective stratigraphy. A 2022 NI 43-101 PEA assessed a small combined open-pit and underground operation with material hauled to an off-site toll flotation plant. Benton operated an active expansion and discovery program after earning its initial interest. Homeland Nickel stopped funding the joint venture, leaving Benton with a 74.89% interest at March 31, 2026 and subjecting Homeland's interest to further dilution. A proposed spinout announced in July 2026 remains conditional and has not changed current ownership.
