Stockton is New Zealand's largest open-cast mine and produces metallurgical coal for export. Bathurst operates the mine through its 65% interest in BT Mining Limited, with Talley's Energy Limited holding the other 35%; the July 2026 presentation describes more than three years in the current mine plan before Buller feed extends the operation.
