Wonarah is Avenira's 100%-owned sedimentary phosphate project in the Barkly region of the Northern Territory. The current development case is a contractor-operated, conventional open-pit direct-shipping operation at Arruwurra with mobile crushing and screening. The October 2023 feasibility study contemplated 836 kt of saleable phosphate product over 23 months, while the Mine Management Plan approved in June 2025 covers pit designs and infrastructure for 1.3 Mt of DSO feedstock and drilling for future beneficiation studies. The start of operations was subsequently deferred while Avenira reviewed mining, logistics, funding and development sequencing. During late 2025 the company was preparing a variation to extend the approved mining plan beyond 2028 and updating a multi-stage financial model covering DSO and beneficiation scenarios.
