Aurous operates the revived Blyvooruitzicht and Doornfontein underground gold mines together as its Far West Rand asset base near Carletonville. The operations mine the Carbon Leader reef concurrently with the Middelvlei as a secondary orebody, using extensive existing underground development and infrastructure to support the production ramp-up.
