ASPI's third Pretoria enrichment plant is its first laser-based Quantum Enrichment facility and is designed initially for Ytterbium-176 used in Lutetium-177 production. Commissioning is complete and a customer sample was shipped in August 2025. On September 8, 2026, ASPI identified the plant as operating and its enrichment technologies as operating at commercial scale; the Ytterbium process demonstrated product above 94% from feedstock above 13%. The first-generation vessel operates in three-hour batches three times per week, while the second-generation continuous-processing vessel is presented as the next scale-up rather than a completed installation. Initial commercial shipments remain targeted for H2 2026.
