Cap-Chat is AEM's commercial-scale high-purity alumina manufacturing plant at 80 Louis-Landry Street in Quebec. Its commissioned nameplate capacity is 2,000 tonnes per year; a dedicated 1,000 tpa 3N5 circuit is intended to complete Stage 1 at 3,000 tpa, while the separate adjacent Stage 2 concept would add another 3,000 tpa.
