The Metals and Alloys Project is a 50/50 joint venture between Aclara and CAP planned to be co-located with Project Dynamo. Its FEL 2 pre-feasibility-level design converts rare-earth oxides into FeDy, Tb and NdPr metals and NdFeB alloy using fluorination, molten-salt electrolysis, vacuum induction melting and strip casting.
